The Oakland A’s baseball team is celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018 and for the first time in their history, they have selected a few Bay Area charities to be The Game Charity for a home game. As a Top Rated Non Profit for 2018, Moraga’s Be the Star You Are!® 501 c3 was selected to be The Game Charity for the Friday, June 15th baseball game against the Los Angeles Angels, one of the chief rivals of the Oakland Athletics.

“We are so thrilled and grateful to be selected as The Game Charity”, exclaimed Executive Director, Cynthia Brian. “This is an unique opportunity to celebrate an evening of family fun on the field including a phenomenal fireworks display with our local volunteers, supporters, and community at the June 15th Athletics baseball game.”

The public is invited to buy tickets at the discounted price of $34.00 ($44 is the regular price) with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Be the Star You Are!® charity as a donation. “People my age, want to make a difference. This game is a fantastic occasion to spend quality time with your family and friends while supporting a worthy cause” says Chelsea Pelchat, Be the Star You Are!® Teen Event Coordinator and current junior at Miramonte High School. It’s going to be an entertaining family night beginning at 6:30pm with up close and personal 2nd tier field seating, Dinosaur Fireworks with a Jurassic Park theme following the game, and several other special surprises to be announced. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each for an experience for two individuals to go on the field on a different day to watch batting practice and meet the players.
